August 2026
A Message from the President

Bolin Families,

On behalf of the Bolin Elementary PTA, welcome to a brand-new school year. We’re excited to partner with our incredible students, families, teachers, and staff as we Saddle Up for Success together.

Our PTA is dedicated to enriching the school experience through family events, teacher support, student programs, and opportunities that bring our school community together. Whether you have an hour to volunteer, want to join us at an event, or simply become a PTA member, there is a place for everyone in the Bolin PTA.

We can’t wait to make lasting memories with you this year. Here’s to an amazing year at Bolin Elementary!

Happy Trails,

Amanda Rickman, PTA President 2026-2027

Meet the 2026-2027 PTA Board Members
PTA Happenings

In June, the PTA hosted "Popsicles with the PTA" at the Bolin Elementary playground for incoming kindergarteners. The event was well attended and definitely deemed a success!

Members of the PTA Board attended LAUNCH in July! LAUNCH is Texas PTA's annual training and leadership conference, attended by over 2,000 PTA leaders from across the state.

In early August, several members of the PTA attended Allen ISD Convocation Rally to cheer on the Bolin Blazer staff!

The PTA decorated the Teacher's Lounge and installed a new bulletin board at the front of the school! The PTA bulletin board has QR codes for easy scanning. This is also where the Teacher of the Month will be posted! Be sure to nominateHERE!

At Meet the Teacher the PTA sold new spirit wear and handed out school supplies!

On the First Day of School, the PTA hosted "Tears and Cheers" for the Kindergarten parents AND provided lunch for the teachers!

August 2026 Teacher of the Month

Polina Dovgi

Join us in celebrating Ms. Dovgi! Here are the kind words shared in the nominations.

"Ms. Dovgi is an amazing and incredible teacher that bonded with my child with autism. My son had his best year yet. For the first time he cried when it was time to say goodbye and move to next grade level. I cannot say enough great things about her."

"My son is new to the school and she has made him feel so welcomed. By welcoming my son with open arms she has made him feel ready to learn. He was so nervous and just in two days he is excited to return on Monday!"
Teacher of the Month

You now have the opportunity to nominate any Bolin teacher for Teacher of the Month! The PTA will accept nominations through the google form linked below.

Money Matters

The PTA raises funds through membership dues, spirit wear sales, business sponsorships, donations, and other sources. While these funds are essential for supporting our annual programs and events—such as the Glow Party, Teacher Appreciation Week, and other student and staff activities—they do not fully cover all of the associated costs.

To help bridge that gap, the PTA organizes fundraisers throughout the school year. Most of these fundraisers support the PTA's general operating needs, allowing us to continue providing enriching events and programs for our school community. Occasionally, the PTA also holds targeted fundraisers to help purchase specific high-cost items requested by the school or teachers that directly benefit our students.
